DONUT CAT

Hello everybody! I give you... DONUT CAT! 🍩🐱

DONUT CAT is a little cat who loves his donuts but is on a diet. Help him dodge the rolling snacks to stay on his diet and keep his score climbing - too many accidental snacks and it's game over!

How to Play:

• Dodge around with the arrow keys.
• The longer you help our boy Donut Cat stay alive and add to his pile of donuts, the higher your score will be. 😼

Future Plans
Expect bigger challenges ahead! Future updates will feature scaling difficulty, new food types, sound effects, special gameplay effects, various locations, and a mechanic where Donut Cat visibly becomes a chonky boy when hit by snacks.

The Backstory
This project began in 2019 as a deliberate experimental game, to accompany a PICO-8 beginner's guide I was creating for work. Designing the mechanics, coding, and creating the pixel art in Aseprite was real fun. After keeping it on the shelf for a while, will now continue with it - strictly for funsies and to find my soul again. 😊
